I haven’t grown up in a seafood loving family. To this day, I can’t Stand mussels, oysters or calamari. In fact, it has taken years for me to be able to walk into a seafood shop without heaving at the smell.
Less about me and more about seafood. Seafood averages less than 2% fat. For those wanting to loose weight, it is lower in kilojoules than meat or chicken. It is very easy to prepare, jus bake, grill, BBQ, steam, poach or microwave to ensure low kilojoules are preserved. Let’s not forget that it is also a source of top quality protein. Dieticians recommend eating fish at least two times per week.
Make sure you buy it fresh as fresh is always best!
